The product is based on a standard 3
wire covert kit manufactured in the USA. This consists of a connector
that plugs into the base of the radio terminal with 3 leads coming
from it. The first lead terminates in a small cylindrical microphone
which has a safety pin for attaching it to the users clothing
collar.
This can be worn inside the lapel for covert duties. The second
lead terminates in a 2 pin plug. This is normally plugged into
a small audio transducer mounted on a spring clothing clip which
is clipped to the user’s collar.
From there a thin transparent coiled plastic tube goes to an
ear tip. This provides around 15dB of background noise attenuation
for use in moderately noisy environments. The third wire normally
terminates in a barrel PTT, but we can as an option introduce
an in line socket to which a variety of PTT switches can be attached. |
