This is suitable for general purpose semi hands free use and allows the terminal to be belt worn if required. You can also wear the radio inside a jacket and have access to the microphone without opening it. An excellent idea when it's raining! The LEP-190 is an improved design similar to the earlier LEP-150 but with the addition of Kevlar stranded wires for greater pull strength and a much more sensitive and better sounding microphone. It is very light weight and comfortable, and can be worn on either ear. Because it does not fit right round the ear it is suitable for any size of ear. The cable is woven with strands of Kevlar, giving it a pull strength of at least 30 lbs. The transducer clips to the collar of the wearer, and the clear plastic audio tube passes up behind the ear. This is the only item that can be seen. All parts are replaceable, and the ear bud can be removed and replaced by noise attenuating ear inserts to allow use in a high noise environment such as a football match. Open ear Insert C806573 - LM The Open Ear Insert is designed to fit into the outer part of your ear. The ear bud at the end of the flexible audio tube of the 1 wire kit is removed, and the end of the tube inserted into the hole of the Open Ear Insert. This in effect positions the sound source centrally over the opening of the ear canal but outside it and not in contact with it. You are thus able to hear the radio whilst also being able to listen to outside sounds such as people talking to you. Because the ear is not blocked by an ear bud, your stereo hearing is also preserved, enabling you to detect where sounds are coming from. Noise Attenuating Plugs C100733 Noise attenuating plugs come as a pair. One of them has a small plastic tube throught the centre and the other is blank (for the unused ear). If you want to use the 1 wire kit in a high noise environment such as a concert or football match, simply remove the audio tube from the normal ear bud and connect it to the tube that passes through the attenuating plug. LEP110/MTH650 Fully covert kit The LEP110/MTH650 is intended for fully covert operation when used in conjunction with an inductive wireless earpiece. The loop is worn round the neck of the user underneath their clothing, with the highly sensitive miniature microphone concealed in its' junction. The loop transmits the output audio from the radio to a BGE-RCR2 wireless earpiece which is worn inside the user's ear. The PTT switch is concealed in the users hand, with the cable being passed down inside their sleeve. There is thus no external sign that a radio is being carried.
